It took 2 and a half year to write, and gained immediate success. It won the Pulitzer Prize. Then it 1962 it was adapted into a movie. Today it is regarded as an American Classic. This was the only novel Harper Lee ever published.

    Martin Luther King Jr. Was assassinated on April 4th, 1968. At 6:01 P.M he was shot by a sniper's bullet. He was standing on the balcony of his room of the Lorraine Motel. In Memphis, Tennessee. He was shot without warning by a .30 caliber sniper bullet, which went through his right cheek to his neck and stopped at his shoulder blade. He was immediately taken to a hospital and confirmed dead at 7:05 P.M.
